Christmas was wonderful! We had a great time visiting with family. Santa was very good to everyone and we are truly blessed as a family. I'm so grateful that everyone is well and happy. We also went on a trip to New York City with Robert's mother a few days after Christmas. NYC is special for Robert and me because it's where we "started." He asked me to prom on our first trip there in 1998, he asked me to marry him in Central Park on another trip in 2002, and we've been multiple times since then. So while we're pretty seasoned and have seen all the "touristy" things, we wanted to take Caroline. We went to see The Rockettes Christmas Show, Mary Poppins and Annie on Broadway, and we saw Chris Botti (famous trumpet player) at the Blue Note jazz club. We also did the regular tourist things, like the Rockettes backstage tour, saw the Statue of Liberty, and visited the 9/11 Memorial. We walked around Times Square and ate street hot dogs, which Caroline thought was great. The weather was super cold and windy, but we had a great time anyway. We bought one of those plastic wind/rain covers for the stroller, so Caroline was happy. :-) We stayed through New Year's, but we didn't go to the ball drop in Times Square. Much too crowded for my taste. We had a great time though with Robert's brother and his girlfriend. We ate lots of good food, saw lots of cool things, and even visited our engagement spot with Caroline. That was fun. So we have had a wonderful break from the regular routine of everyday life. It's always hard to go back to it, but it's here. I'm looking forward to some new opportunities in 2013 and can't wait to see what all is in store for our family! Happy New Year everyone!
