5 Months Old
Well Caroline turned 5 months old on Sept. 7th. She's starting to sit up really well on her own, usually for 10 or so minutes at a time. Then she gets tired, falls forward, and folds herself completely in half - which is quite impressive. I wish I was that flexible! She's still sleeping really well. She's doesn't talk in her sleep quite as much, which is good for me. She's only rolling over from her back to stomach, not vice-versa. Her newest sleeping position is face down with the backs of her hands covering both eyes. But she only does it during naps, not when she's deep asleep at night. She adds a new babble sound to her "talk" every few days and has recently started pursing her lips together and blowing spit. It's amazing how something so inherently disgusting can be so darn cute! She loves to watch Baby Einstein. It completely mesmerizes her. Every day I look at her and think she's gotten bigger or changed in some way - and I want her to stop! Time seems to be flying by. But we're definitely enjoying every minute of it. She is such a joy to be around. She has the best disposition and is rarely in a "bad" mood. She is so friendly to everyone she meets and all of Robert's students just love her. She seems to enjoy going to the football games, too. She talks and plays in her stroller and if she's tired, she'll fall right to sleep on my shoulder. Pounding drums and screaming fans have no effect on her. As long as she's kept dry, well fed, and has a place to lay her head, she's one happy baby. I've made a little video clip of several different days over the past couple of weeks. It's about 6 min. long and not anything super interesting - mostly video that family will want to watch (talking, laughing, the spit face, watching Baby Einstein). So enjoy! There are also new pictures on Shutterfly so check those out too!
