A Visit from the Stambaughs

Hugging Layne, holding Caroline, and ice cream at Mr. Gene's Beans - mission accomplished. These were Hannah's only requests for the Stambaugh's trip to Fairhope this weekend to visit us. They arrived Friday and went to the Fairhope football game. We spent most of Saturday playing around town. We ate at Panini Pete's, played at the park, ate ice cream, and perused various little shops and stores. Robert's band had an all day practice Saturday and we went to watch their final performance. Unfortunately, Papa's Pizza is still closed for renovations, so we ate pizza at Pie in the Sky. We had a really great time. Sarah lost her tooth while they were here, so the Alabama Tooth Fairy had to make a stop at our house. The Mississippi Tooth Fairy normally leaves her a gold dollar, but the Alabama Tooth Fairy is different. She just left a regular dollar. Isn't childhood great?! They left after lunch today, but we were so glad they came to visit. We had a great weekend. Sunday morning Caroline was napping in my bed after her morning bottle and when she woke up, we walked in to find her on her back! She had flipped over from her stomach, which she hadn't done yet! She hasn't done it again since, but we know she's capable. Now we really can't leave her on any furniture. She is sitting up all by herself all the time now. She prefers it over laying down to play. The past couple of weeks, she's started "singing" herself to sleep, which is really a scratchy humming sound that gets really annoying after a few minutes. Once she's really asleep she stops. She's still sleeping all night and only squirms once or twice for her pacifier. The weather has been beautiful recently so we've been taking walks in the morning and she loves it. The rest of our days are usually spent eating, playing, napping, reading books, and Mommy dancing and singing around the room like a loon. Which is so worth the giggles it produces from her little smiling face. Life couldn't be much better these days. Check out Shutterfly for the latest pictures!
