Thankful Day 10

So, today I'm thankful for home-cooked meals. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE to go out to eat. I like that there's variety, I don't have to clean up, and it usually involves friends or family gathered together, which is fun. But I do love to get in my kitchen and put together something wonderfully delicious and nutritious for my little family. It makes me feel like Betty Crocker and most of the time Caroline says "yay!" to whatever I cook. Not typical child behavior, but she does! Robert always likes whatever it is, and I must say, 99% of the time it's pretty darn good. Even if it's experimental. It gathers us at the table and gives us a chance to talk about the day. Tonight I cooked before I had to go to a show, and even though it was quick, it was good and everyone had a full belly when I left. That makes me feel good. So I'm thankful for my ability to produce edible concoctions, whether they be quick or time-consuming, healthy or "2-sticks of butter" delectable, I love it.
