Thankful Some More.....

I haven't kept up very well, So I'll catch up now......
Nov. 11 - I'm thankful for Veterans. My Daddy, grandfathers, Robert's grandfathers, a couple of cousins, and several friends are/were all veterans of some branch of the armed forces. I'm thankful for their sacrifices, for their dedication to our country and our freedom. Without them and thousands of others just like them, we wouldn't live the way we live. We wouldn't have the freedom to be "for" or "against" legislation, or amendments, or laws, or wars. Our opinions wouldn't matter. So whether you believe in war or not, whether you like everything about our government or not, whether you take moral issue with certain pieces of legislation or not...... thank a Veteran for the fact that you CAN, without persecution.
Nov. 12 - I'm thankful for our monthly Aloette sales meeting. I love getting to see friends, share stories, pat each other on the back for our accomplishments. I love the motivation that it gives me just from being there. I'm thankful for that.
Nov. 13 - I'm thankful for singing. I love to sing, whether I'm good at it or not. I'm grateful for God giving me the ability to carry a tune in a bucket and a wonderful group of people in a choir to sing with because I love it. Love, love, love it.
Nov. 14 - I'm thankful for 2 Aloette parties in one day.... it makes for a long day, but a nice paycheck for the week. :-) And it makes me feel productive. I like that feeling. Christmas presents are now paid for. :-)
Nov. 15 - I'm thankful for the fact that I get to wake up every morning with my sweet baby girl snuggled up with me. That I don't have to get up in the cold morning air and leave her with someone else. I'm thankful that I get to be that warm, snuggly house for another sweet baby who's mother does have to do that. I'm grateful that she truly appreciates our warm, snuggly house for her sweet baby to go back to sleep in and get loved on all day. Definitely thankful for sweet, snuggly babies.
Nov. 16 - Trivial, but I'm thankful for El Sombrero, our Mexican restaurant. I know that sounds silly, but first off, I LOVE Mexican food. L-O-V-E it. Shoulda been Mexican. 2nd of all, I love the fun, happy times that I have with my family there. The chance to catch up from the week, tell stories, and just hang out.
Nov. 17 - I'm thankful for my Mamaw. I took her to the doctor this day, and I'm so glad that she's here and that I get to spend time with her. I'm so glad that I get to learn from her patience and generosity, her gentle spirit and warm heart. She is a wonderful example of a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. And I'm thankful for her.
Nov. 18 - I'm grateful for good friends that Caroline gets to spend time with. Today we made "Thanksgiving Soup" at our house with our homeschool friends. We learned about the pilgrims and what Thanksgiving is, and then we made vegetable soup to represent all the vegetables they grew and ate that first Thanksgiving. Caroline also has several other friends we play with on occasion and she loves them. I'm also grateful for Kindermusik and her friends there. Being an only child, I'm glad she has these opportunities to interact and socialize with other kids her age.
Nov. 19 - Today I'm thankful for my parents. My parents are cool, and they always have been. Growing up, all my friends wanted to hang out at my house. They've always been my parents, not my "friends" like some parents try to be. But because of that, we're now able to be friends and have fun together as adults. I'm thankful for our relationship and the great times we have as a family.

So that catches me up from the past week. I'll try to post a little more frequently this week!
