Mother's Day - now I get it... I didn't think much about the whole situation until I got the cards from Robert and Caroline and it all sort of hit me - I am somebody's mother. Weirdest feeling ever..... but the greatest. We had a great weekend in Clinton visiting people that we hadn't gotten to see yet. Robert took Caroline to his Mamaw's house for the first time on Saturday morning and she got to meet more family members. We went to the Yelverton's for Bryce's graduation celebration that afternoon and she met Bryce and Joel for the first time. I'm starting to think we should just have a giant Meet and Greet for her - it would definitely save us some time and gasoline. :-)
So Caroline has decided that she does NOT like being in her car seat and she's perfectly happy to let me know about it. And if she does agree to sit in it, she must be moving at all times. Any stops or even slight pauses evoke a little grumble from the back seat. Today we were happily driving home from a few errands when we got stopped for road construction. I swear she awoke from a dead sleep as soon as we came to a stop and the wailing began...... and didn't stop until I removed her from her seat in our garage. She unfortunately inherited her Daddy's lung capacity. I'm going pray to the good Lord above that she was just having a bad day. Those 4 hour trips to Clinton are going to get even longer (or non-existent) if this keeps up. Everyone say a little prayer tonight.... thanks.
