Six Weeks Old

Well Caroline is six weeks old today. It's hard to believe it's already been that long. Oh, how the time flies... She is changing daily. She's really starting to respond to conversation and she smiles more every day. She can hold her head up for about 10-15 seconds at at time. She's already gone up a size in diapers and I can't wait to see how much weight she's gained. We go back to the doctor in a couple of weeks. Her schedule is getting pretty routine, as well, which is great. It's nice knowing a little bit of what to expect each day. Her morning is mostly sleeping and eating. Then she wakes up after lunch and will "play" for a while, either in her swing or on the jungle play mat. We take a walk every afternoon and she loves to ride in the stroller. Then she starts another round of eating and sleeping. She cat naps in the evening and eats a little more frequently. I guess she's storing up for the long night - she's still sleeping about 7 hours. Then she usually goes down for the night around 11:30 or 12. She's had a bit of a stuffy nose this week but nothing major. She's never really gotten rid of it from birth. I think she's just still getting all of it out of her system.
Everything is going well with Robert and me. This is the last week of school, so we're happy about that. Then begins the summer from hell. I think we only have 2 weeks with nothing to do.... But it's actually going to be alot of fun - just not much time to rest. Robert will be finishing grad school at the end of the summer, so he's really happy about that. I'm definitely loving not having to go to work every day, not that my days are easy. But I love my new job much more than my old job. Every morning when I wake up to that cute little sleepy face, I'm further convinced - daycare is NOT an option.
