More Firsts for Caroline

Well three months seems to be the magic number for us. A lot of firsts have occurred since she hit 3 months. We've started eating cereal mixed with fruit, which she loves! She started laughing (adorable!), rolling onto her side, trying to sit up by herself, and just this morning she found her toes...! She even wore her first pair of blue jeans yesterday. They're so tiny! It's amazing what you get excited about once you have a baby.
We also just returned from our trip to New York City with Andrew. We had a blast! I think he really enjoyed everything we did. His favorite city sight was Top of the Rock, where you get a 360 degree view of the entire city from the top of Rockefeller Center. We also got to see several Broadway shows - Spamalot, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, and Robert saw Chicago. We took a double decker bus tour around the city and were able to see a lot more than we would have seen just trying to walk around. We saw Ground Zero, The Statue of Liberty, Battery Park, The Empire State Building, Central Park, and all the neighborhoods (China Town, Greenwich Village, etc.) We also visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which Andrew loved. He's a great artist himself, so he really enjoyed seeing all the famous paintings by Van Gogh, Monet, Picasso, etc. Being in the presence of such famous pieces of art is truly amazing. The only problem we encountered on the whole trip was our flights going and coming back got delayed numerous times. Delta truly made me mad and I thought I was going to explode on someone! It was not a good experience, but it's the first bad one we've had with Delta out of all the times we've flown, so I guess the odds weren't in our favor. But the trip itself was great. I'm really glad Andrew had such a good time. Although it was quite difficult for me to be away from Caroline for 4 days. I thought I was going to go crazy on the trip home because I felt like we would never get there! But it was a great feeling to get home to her.
So our crazy summer is almost over. Just a week and a half before band camp starts for Robert and then 2 weeks later school starts. But all the traveling has been great fun. Check out shutterfly for more pics of Caroline and our New York photos.
