YikeSIS!!

So alot of crap is going down these days.  Obama is proving himself to be an idiot more and more each day, we're dumping buckets of ice water on ourselves (while other countries have no clean water), people are in uproars over 1st grade math problems, and Miss America played a CUP...... we are going to hell in a hand-basket! Never mind the fact that ISIS is murdering and beheading Christians on a daily basis.  Never mind that racism (BOTH ways) in this country seems to be regressing rather than improving.  Never mind that our healthcare system is rapidly falling apart..... Nope! Forget all that! Let's go watch another YouTube video of some Dad singing "Let it Go!"  Don't misunderstand- mindless social media is entertaining and fun at times - yes I watch those stupid videos too. I'm definitely not excluding myself from the masses.  But seriously....... we need to take a step back and reevaluate our priorities.  What really matters? What in the H-E-L-L are we doing?? If ISIS continues on in their plans and our government doesn't do something to stop them - we will see war on our soil by next year.  If we do - it won't matter what the hell kind of math problems our children are doing because we will be concerned for their LIVES not their math grades.  Common Core, No Child Left Behind, whatever the latest fad is - it won't matter.  Miss America will be terrified just like the rest of us, and she'll probably be drinking VODKA out of that stupid red cup. At least she's prepared. Are you???  Because I'm not! I have absolutely no desire to fight a religious war in my lifetime on my country's soil.  I have no desire for our men and boys to be forcibly called to war.  Do you think that can't happen just because the Draft doesn't exist anymore? Well it can all come back with a single stroke of our dumb-ass POTUS' pen....... We are being led by a complete moron who is sending troops to "fight" EBOLA instead of ISIS. Like someone posted earlier - "I wasn't aware that Ebola could be shot!"  My thoughts exactly..... But this is what Obama deems worthy of our man-power.  Not the blatant religious war that those psychopaths are not backing down from.  And when something tragic does happen over here - we're all S.O.L because our healthcare system will crash. Nobody will be able to pay for anything and soon after that our entire financial system will follow. You think the racism is bad now?? I can't imagine the rioting and cries of "race" that will happen in the face of financial ruin.  We could fall into the next Great Depression and I don't want that for my child.  I don't want her to tell her grandchildren the same stories that my grandmother tells me about having ONE potato left in the house to feed their family of 7.  Or about having to have special ration coupons to buy sugar or butter.  Or wrapping their feet in newspapers during winter to keep their feet warm because of the holes in their shoes. Yes- MY grandmother lived that life and she is still living today.  Do you want your children to live like that?  I have no idea what we're going to do to keep it from happening, but I sure hope someone figures it out sooner rather than later.  I may sound like a nut-case, but it's just what's on my mind.  Is any of this likely?  Probably not.  But is it possible? It sure is.......  The people in the 1920's didn't see it coming either. But it happened to them, it can happen to us.  Our only hope is a new president who has common sense and an actual love of our country.  Because our current one doesn't have either. While this turmoil plays itself out, I'd much rather be focused on my family and the things that matter most in life. Just in case.  Then I must put my trust in Him to take care of the rest.
