I Call Mulligan
So, just for the record: Delta Airlines is on my sh*t list right now. I generally have great experiences with them, but the first 2 days of this week were awful because of them. Ticket mix-ups, engine malfunction, returning to Minneapolis, deplane/replane, 2 hours on the runway before we moved an inch, missed connection flight, hotel stay in the ghetto of Memphis, $36 worth of meal vouchers for 3 people to eat 2 meals(good luck with that), and 25 minutes of circling the Jackson airport before my feet finally touched MIssissippi ground. 2 days of serious irritation. Can we just go back to Monday and try again? But during the whole thing Caroline was amazing. It could have been so much worse if she hadn't been so cooperative. So for that I am thankful. All that traveling finally paid off- she's a pro and has Skymiles to show for it. Other than our return adventure, our trip was great. Mrs Fehr never ceases to amaze me with her trip planning skills. She has it down to an art. The competition was successful as well, except I wouldn't know because I was deaf the whole time. Argh. I wish I could go back and try to prevent this. I have a new medicine to try and if it doesn't clear up over the weekend, I have to see an ENT, who will possibly put a tube in my ear. Never had tubes my entire life and now I may have to have one at age 29. My doc said in 30 years of practice he's only had 5 adult patients who needed tubes. I mean, really?? Normalcy, please. That's all I'm asking for. Good 'ole boring normalcy. Is there a Mulligan for real life? Well if there is, I call Mulligan.
