Can You Hear Me Now?

I now have a new sympathy, no make that empathy, for deaf people and old people. I have a middle ear infection and my left ear is completely stopped up and my right ear is halfway. Can you say MISERABLE!? I have never been so sick of anything in my life! Robert always tells me that I have super human hearing, and he's right. So for me, this is extra annoying. And I'm pretty sure that I'm somewhat close to an overdose on prescription and non prescription drugs. Here's my list: Ceftin (antibiotic), Nasonex, Advil cold/sinus (prescription version that meth heads ruined for us), DayQuil, Zyrtec, and Excedrin Migraine. And yes, I took them all at once. Don't judge me- I'm desperate. I went to the Mall of America today. Largest mall in the entire United States - amusement park in the center- and it's the quietest mall I've ever experienced. I feel completely removed from the world. I have to lean closer to whoever is trying to talk to me. But the worst part isn't what I can't hear, it's what I CAN hear. When I brush my teeth with my electric toothbrush it sounds like a helicopter is trying to land on my head. I also have a rather passionate dislike for hearing people chew - it gags me out. So now I have the pleasure of hearing EVERY, tiny, disgusting sound in my mouth with everything I eat. Last night in the bed I could hear my blood "wooshing" through my veins- and I'm not exaggerating. With every beat of my heart, I heard the sound of a fetus' heartbeat on a sonogram. Woosh, woosh, woosh..... I am in hell.
